Kalinova is the darkest city of the continent of Donorion in Quartara. It is one of the most important cities for the Shade, as it is their only controlled settlement on the continent. Kalinova is known for the locals being very hostile, and crime is seen as an everyday thing. Guards find bribes insulting, but there is still an underground scene. The city bases its economy on trade, and it's main trade is ores. The economy is below that of the average city but it is stable. The government of the city is based on a hereditary ruler, and is majorly influenced by the criminal element. Corruption in the government is somewhat high, and religious influence on the city is very strong.
